GOM-V Floats Ododo Magazine to Strengthen Grassroots Media Outreach
In line with its mission to ensure inclusive information dissemination, the Governor Ododo Media Volunteers (GOM-V) proudly announces the launch of Ododo Magazine, a new publication dedicated to grassroots engagement. This initiative aims to keep all citizens informed about the policies, programs, and achievements of His Excellency, Governor Ododo Ahmed Usman’s administration—especially those facing digital exclusion. Complementing GOM-V’s existing digital platforms, such as OdodoBlog, a news, insights, and governance-focused website, and OdodoApp, the governance-focused mobile application that brings governance at your fingertips, available on the Play Store, Ododo Magazine will bridge the digital divide by delivering critical updates to offline communities, ensuring no citizen is left behind in Kogi State’s development narrative.

GOM-V President Adaava Abdallah has appointed the following editorial leaders to steer the magazine’s mission:

- Chief Editor: Ann Aminat Salami
- Managing Editor: Risika Ohunene Sanusi
- Assistant Editor, Kogi East: Dr. Ojonugwa Onu Andrew
- Assistant Editor, Kogi West: Seun Jajah
The President also appoints special correspondents to report on governance and political activities across the 21 local governments and offices/institutions incorporated on the OdodoApp to GOM-V. Furthermore, President Abdallah has inaugurated a Board of Trustees to oversee the management of GOM-V’s digital platforms, including OdodoBlog, OdodoApp, and Ododo Magazine publication, as well as the activities of the team. Mr. Francis Emmanuel Okoliko will serve as the Chairman of the Board.
President Abdallah charged the team to uphold the highest journalistic standards, stating: “Ododo Magazine is a vital tool to combat the digital divide—the gap between those with access to technology and those without. By delivering accurate, timely information directly to communities, we foster transparency, trust, and inclusive participation in governance.”
The quarterly magazine will be distributed free of charge, and the team is cautioned that Ododo Magazine is not for sale, as indicated on the cover page. Distribution will be through:
- GOM-V networks
- 21 Local Government Team Leads
- Traditional institutions
Citizens are encouraged to share feedback via GOM-V’s official channels. The maiden edition contains insight analysis of government programs and progress, people-oriented projects, exclusive interviews with policymakers, and detailed analysis of the OdodoApp mobile application, among other features.
