His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, the Executive Governor of Kogi State, undertook an official visit to Ankpa Local Government Area today, where he inspected ongoing road projects facilitated by the Kogi State Government. During the visit, Governor Ododo commissioned several completed projects executed under the leadership of Hon. Ibrahim Halims, Member representing Ankpa Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives. In his remarks at the commissioning ceremony, Governor Ododo commended Hon. Halims for his exemplary commitment to effective representation and infrastructural development in his constituency. The Governor described the projects as tangible evidence of democracy delivering real benefits to the people, stating, “This is what true representation means.” Governor Ododo called on all elected officials across the state to emulate Hon. Halims’ example by prioritizing grassroots development and accountability. He emphasized the importance of promoting unity, love, and mutual respect among the Igala people and all Kogites.

The Governor cautioned against the divisive tactics of selfish politicians, stating: “We must see ourselves as one big family. Don’t let any selfish politician make you hate or fight your brother while they sit and enjoy together. Many of the politicians we fight for dine together behind closed doors while we harbor division. Let us not fall into that trap anymore.” The Governor’s visit reinforces his administration’s commitment to inclusive governance, grassroots development, and the well-being of all Kogi residents.
